Called Worship
We are passionate about leading worship and proclaiming the excellencies of Him who has called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light!
We have seen the unfailing love and goodness of God through extremely difficult and challenging circumstances. Consequently, our passion for both personal and corporate worship deepened as we began to understand more fully that God has written our stories and has a perfect and beautiful plan for our lives. Even in the midst of a mess He is at work making our brokenness beautiful. He is a powerful, good, faithful God who chases after us with His love. It was from this place that God began birthing in both of our hearts a desire to share with others the truths of who God is and what He has done, through worship!
We feel a calling to bring others along with us on a journey of worship. Our passion is to create authentic, transparent experiences in which we draw close to our good Father, just as we are, are encouraged by declaring together the attributes of God, can respond in humility to Him, and be uplifted by His presence among us.

Kerri Roberts
Kerri Roberts was born into a ministry family, with a childhood immersed in music and dance. While Kerri dreamed of a career in the arts, as Proverbs 16:9 says, “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.” This scripture would define Kerri’s path as she set out on her lifelong journey of knowing God and walking with Him, wherever He may lead!
While in college, Kerri met and married Brent, her best friend and perfect partner in the journey. Kerri completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Columbia College and her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the University of South Carolina. During her time in University, Kerri received a number of prestigious awards for vocal excellence and performance, and it was the couple’s plan to pursue her singing career full-time. However, God’s first “holy hijacking” of her life occurred with the birth of their first child, which He used to change the priorities and desires of Kerri’s heart. God began to show her that in His economy, success and fulfillment often look very different than what we may think.
Seven years and two more children later, God’s next “divine deviation” took this very typical American family to live and minister in the southern African country of Zambia. For seven years, God used Zambia and its people to both wreck and rebuild Kerri. Returning to the States in late 2014, this not-so-typical American family, now including five amazing kids, has followed God’s leading down a new fork in the road of life and ministry. Though it is scary and painful at times, they are excited about where He will lead next!
Through this messy, beautiful journey, God has been working into Kerri a passion for communion, community, and commission. She longs to help women learn to grow in intimate communion with God, to find the joy of walking in vulnerable community with others, and to see their integral place in the commission of God!
Carrie Ballentine
Years ago, as a little girl, Carrie dreamed of becoming a wife and mother. A lover of Hallmark movies, she waited and longed for her happily ever after, completely sure that it would be her Cinderella dream that would complete her. Years later, married to her best friend John and up to her eyeballs in motherhood, homeschooling, laundry, cleaning, and a part time job, God began to graciously reveal to her that only He would complete her. By His grace, He showed her His perfect and sovereign plan for her life. That He had written her story and would hold her and guide her through each and every step of her life. Through a series of both difficult and wonderful events, God drew Carrie into a closer and deeper intimacy with Himself, and she is forever grateful. She continues to find that “in His presence there is fullness of joy; at His right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11).
Carrie graduated from Columbia College with a degree in Elementary Education only to ever teach her own children at home! She has been singing since she was a little girl and God began opening doors in college for her to sing and lead worship around the state. Passionate about worship, Carrie considers it an absolute joy and privilege to be an instrument in leading people to the throne of God. She has a heart for real, authentic worship and community and is so thankful that we can “approach God’s throne with grace and confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
Carrie, John, and their kids, Jacob, Anna Greer, Ben, and Lolly attend Columbia Crossroads Church in Columbia, SC where she has served as worship leader for 10+ years. Additionally, Carrie has had the privilege of leading worship at numerous women’s events and conferences. Carrie also teaches at her children’s homeschool academy and leads worship there as well.
Carrie desires to come alongside women as they pursue a deepening intimacy with God and seek healing and wholeness found in Christ and Christ alone.
